Last-mile software for routes, POD and returns — in one app
Lieferpilot combines route optimisation, live driver tracking, digital POD capture and returns handling into one workspace. Less paper in the depot, fewer complaints about delivery time, more parcels per route.

Built with delivery operators across DACH
Routes in Excel, POD on paper, returns in a cardboard corner — delivery runs on too much manual work.
Routes built by hand
Every morning at 5am, the dispatcher assigns parcels to vans with gut feel and Google Maps. Inefficient routes cost 45 minutes per van per day — that's one full route per van per week, silently gone.
POD on paper
Driver gets printed delivery slips, collects paper signatures, brings the stack back in the evening. On a dispute you spend two days flipping through the archive to find the proof — if it hasn't already been lost.
Returns in cardboard chaos
Return parcels pile up in the corner of the depot; nobody knows which one belongs to which order. Customers ask for refund status, you have no answer — Trustpilot ratings drop.
From the route plan to the refund — in one view.
Routes optimised automatically, not by gut feel
Lieferpilot calculates a route per van every day: 200 stops in under five seconds, honouring time windows, vehicle size and driver experience. Save 45 minutes per van — across 15 vans that's 11 hours of driving time saved every day.
- Route optimisation including time windows
- Vehicle size and volume constraints
- Live re-assignment on cancellations or delays
- Driver app with turn-by-turn navigation
| Route | Driver | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| MUC-A104 | K. Weber | 8:20 h |
| MUC-B217 | M. Bauer | 7:45 h |
| MUC-C099 | T. Fischer | 9:10 h |
| MUC-D041 | P. Wagner | 6:50 h |
Digital proof of delivery with photo and signature
Driver captures the delivery in seconds: photo of the parcel at the drop point, recipient signature on the phone, GPS timestamp. The customer automatically receives an email with the photo — complaints drop from 4% to under 1%.
- Photo and signature directly in the app
- GPS timestamp per delivery
- Automatic notification to the customer
- POD search in seconds, not days
| Route | Delivered | Rate |

| MUC-A104 | 174 / 184 | 94.6% |

Returns captured digitally, linked to the order
Driver scans the return at the recipient's door, records the reason, attaches a photo of the condition. Back at the depot, the parcel lands on the right shelf, tied to the right order and refund. No more cardboard chaos — a returns list that actually matches reality.
- Return scan at the recipient's door
- Automatic link to order and customer
- Photo and reason per return
- Refund status visible to the shipper
| Order | Reason | Value |
|---|---|---|
| #248-4198 | Refused | €89 |
| #248-4212 | Damaged | €184 |
| #248-4224 | Wrong address | €62 |

What delivery operators ask us before the demo
How much does Lieferpilot cost?
Lieferpilot costs $119/month with all modules included — route optimisation, POD capture, returns handling and driver app. Up to 25 vans and unlimited deliveries, monthly cancellation, no setup fee.
How does route optimisation work?
Lieferpilot uses HERE Maps travel-time matrices and computes an optimised order for 200 stops in under five seconds — with time windows, volume constraints and driver experience factored in. Re-calculation is possible whenever conditions change.
Can we import jobs from Amazon, DHL or GLS?
Yes. Lieferpilot imports jobs via API, CSV or scanner integration from Amazon Logistics, DHL, GLS, Hermes, DPD and similar shippers. Every shipment sits in one view.
Does the driver app work offline?
Yes. Deliveries, POD capture and return scans all work offline. As soon as the driver is back on signal, the app syncs automatically. No data loss in dead zones.
Is GDPR and recipient communication compliant?
Yes. POD photos are only shared with the shipper and recipient, stored encrypted, and deleted after the contractual retention period. An Article 28 GDPR data processing agreement is part of onboarding.
How fast can we go live?
Typical time from kick-off to your first live route in Lieferpilot: 10 working days. We connect your job sources, set up vans and drivers, and train your team across two 60-minute sessions.
Less paper in the depot. Fewer complaints. 45 minutes less per van per day.
We're opening Lieferpilot in March to 15 delivery operators across DACH. If you want to be one of them, book a 30-minute demo — we'll walk through routes, POD and returns using your own depot as the example.
